Product Review: Facial Cleansers

1. Visibly Clear 2in1 Neutrogena face wash – 10/10
This can be used as a wash or a mask; it is amazing. This product keeps my skin clean and spot free.
I repurchase this every time I run out, I’ve never known such a staple product in my routine – that said read on.

2. Olay Regenerist Cleanser – 5/10
This does not do the job for me. The consistency is beads and does feel abrasive (in a good way) however I do find that it aggravates my skin. It leaves it red and sore and in actual fact gives me break outs.
This is not to say that if your skin is slightly more mature, this product might work better for you. It is aimed at mature/maturing skin; so this might be with a go?

3. Estée Lauder – 9/10
These cleansers are bloody marvellous, I love the texture when using, he way my skin feels afterwards. It takes all of your make up off, leaving your skin feeling clean but not abused. It is quite expensive, by comparison to the Olay or Neutrogena but it’s worth it.

4. Sanctuary Deep Cleansing Facial Wash – 8/10
Beautifully silky on the skin, cleanses away makeup and dirt – face feels refreshed. Doesn’t leave redness. Beautiful product!

WIWT; shoe edition

Fabulous Suede Shoe Boots.

This style is really trendy at the moment, I think largely due to Louboutins amazing little short boot…
Mine however were an absolute bargain, circa £20 mark.
They look really effective with jeans; they make dresses look edgy.
The suede material means that they can be warn during the daytime as they aren’t too brash. Although I stand at an impressive (intimidating) 6″4 in them.

What shoes did you wear today?
As a female, are you particularly tall and do you still wear heels?

Cheltenham Races

I love going to Cheltenham Races.
It’s an exhilarating day out for so many reasons.
Firstly, the betting, you’re choosing horses you think will win based on odds (if you’re sensible like my partner) or base your choices on the names of the horses, like, ahem, me. So here you have the excitement of wanting your horse to win.
The second wonderful thing is that you are surrounded by hundreds of other people doing the same: here’s the fun part they get awfully excited and there’s alcohol involved.
They’re all dressed up in their fabulous tweed and flat caps and Dubarrys. It is just wonderful.
Throw in to the mix people are selling these divine goods, from hats of fur to jackets and all the clothing that is typically seen at these events.
I can never understand why anyone would want a box… Yes, it may seem very posh to have a box. However, you miss out on all of the atmosphere and camaraderie of being in amongst all of the other people enjoying the day.
If you have never been , go! It really is the most marvellous experience.
I cannot wait for Ascott ladies day on my birthday!

Outfit of the Night (WIWT) 2

Elegant dipped hem dress.
The fastening is a ribbon around the neck. Wonderful if you like to draw more attention to the top half of your body.

I wore very minimal jewellery, as I think it would have been too much to focus on; the dress itself has such intricate beading around the neck, this detailing does not need accessorising.

The top half is this wonderful azurite colour, with the black bottom half; the contrast of fabric with the pleated/ruffled bust, the sleek ribbon tie and the floaty dip hemmed skirt. It would be a fabulous dress to wear to a Summer Christening with Gladiator Sandals.

I wore black tights and black heels (well it was snowing!)

• hair curled with GHD straighteners & set with Super Drug Own brand hairspray.

• Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation (Wheat-sheaf)
• Primark Lashes
• Accessorize Eye Wardrobe Palette
• Blush (is a kind they have discontinued, oddly enough it was a M&S creme blush stick)
• No7 Eyeliner
• Lip Gloss ‘Multicolor Diamonds’ in No9

(My apologies for the poor picture qual; I only had the phone camera)

Fashion Shoot; Eighties Vintage

I adore this fabulous colourful jacket. It is vintage circa: 1980s.

It’s has a lightweight fabric; it can be warn with sweats/jumper/denim dress/ denim shorts&tee, it is so versatile.

As you can see from the picture, I have teamed it with a fabulous LBD. Chunky jewellery and bright colours have a real contemporary edge and we see it donned by celebrities such as Rihanna or Jessi J.
I love it –

It makes me feel nostalgic, for my childhood years: watching American 80/90s sitcoms.

What do you think about these styles?

Do you have any similar 80s brightly coloured, crazy patterned gems?

Fashion Shoot; MUA

Recently, I worked with the talented Designer, Stylist, Seamstress and all round Fashion Guru: Jessica Irwin.

Popular for her instaposts, Jessica puts together outfits from her vast wardrobe; the most interesting fact about Jessica is that half of the items, she has made, restyled, designed, or in someway modified to produce her own take on it.

She is based in the County of Worcestershire; works all over the UK, but mainly in the Midlands.

The Photographer was Midlands based Robert Payton and I was Hair & Make Up Artist.
